Excitement Builds for ADOT Open Houses
We Hope You Will Join Us!

The phrase “Arizona is the land of opportunity” has never been more true than it is today. Did you know that only one third of available land is developed in Arizona? That means that two-thirds of our state’s total development is yet to occur.  How we grow and how we travel will greatly impact future generations of Arizonans. Now is the time to work together to shape our future.

which will be presented at the Open Houses.

Although ADOT would like to be able to conduct our next series of open houses throughout our large state, our budget situation does not make that possible.  We are planning three public events (listed below).  All information from the events will be posted online at www.bqaz.gov and at www.azdot.gov the week of November 9 to encourage participation from those who cannot attend.

Arizona has changed dramatically over the past 40 years, and is poised for new challenges over the next 40. As we continue to grow, where will we live, work and play? How will we get to where we need to go?  Come join us to take a look at where we’ve been and where we’re going!

Together with our planning partners from around the state, the Arizona Department of Transportation has led a statewide dialogue about Arizona’s future and a comprehensive planning effort that started in early 2008 resulting in this forward-looking transportation vision.

This Statewide Transportation Planning Framework represents the vision for Arizona’s transportation system over the next 40 years - a vision in which proactive investment decisions can be made now to prepare us for the projected growth ahead. ADOT is now ready to present the full range of recommendations developed with communities statewide.

Experience the vision.  Personalize the future.  Make it meaningful.
